Objection

Objection, I don't wanna be the exception ,
To get a bit of your attention .
I love you for free and I'm not your mother,
But you don't even bother.

Objection, I'm tired of this triangle ,
Got dizzy dancing tango.
I'm falling apart in your hands again.
No way I've got to get away.

You gotta know small things also count,
You better put your feet on the ground,
And see what it's about.

Objection, I don't wanna be the exception,
To get a bit of your attention.
I love you for free and I'm not your mother,
But you don't even bother.

Objection, I'm tired of this triangle.
Got dizzy dancing tango.
I'm falling apart in your hands again,
No way, I've got to get away.

I wish there was a chance for you and me.
I wish you couldn't find a place to be .
Away from here.

This is pathetic and sardonic,
It's sadistic and psychotic.
Tango is not for three,
Was never meant to be.

But you can try it,
Rehearse it,
Or train like a horse,
But don't you count on me,
Don't you count on me!

Objection, I don't wanna be the exception,
To get a bit of your attention.
I love you for free and I'm not your mother,
But you don't even bother.

Objection, I'm tired of this triangle,
Got dizzy dancing tango.
I'm falling apart in your hands again,
No way I've got to get away.

Ingrown Toenail

WARNING: In this post, I'm gonna talk about nasty stuff involving ingrown nails and blood. If you are squemish, you may want to go here.

This is your last chance to leave.

Okay, you asked for it!

I've had a really nasty ingrown toenail for a couple months now. Unfortunately, the waiting-around-hoping-it-will-magically-disappear method has proved fruitless so now I am forced to stop picking at it and take action.

Today, I was examining it and I pulled a piece of flesh off and it started to bleed. Like profusely bleed! So, I grabbed a napkin, applied pressure, and got the first aid kit. I trimmed off the dangling flesh and applied some disinfectant, and applied a bandage. Dr. Danny to the rescue (as if!).

It was then that it really kicked in to me that this was getting serious, so I looked on Wikipedia about how to treat ingrown toenails. My mom's remedy of sticking cotton balls under the nail is annoying and sometimes hurt so I decided to try a new way.

My search results told me that I should soak the foot in warm water and epsom salt each night. I read this and thought "Holy crap. This stuff sounds freaking scientific. It's going to cost a bundle." A quick search of CVS.com proved me wrong. I can get a 4 pound bag of Epsom salt for $3. That's pretty....cheap.

So tonight, I'm going to get some epsom salt and hopefully disgusting feet will return to at least mild normality.

untitled

Wow. I haven't been able to cry yet, but it is really starting to sink in that I've graduated. Here's what happened yesterday:

Spent almost ALL DAY in the Skybox. On the news, I proclomataed to Mrs. Bridner and took her her gifts, and then during Health I packed up the studio. It was so sad! Then, during second period, I did stuff in the Skybox, and same during third and fourth. I went to Social Studies and we watched that horrid movie, and we delivered Mr. Jackson his big dustpan during fifth period. In math, we cleaned up Mrs. Silverman's room and played her "magic ring game" which was pretty cool. I spent lunch and ninth period in the Skybox, and I was starving. We tried to make popcorn, but it turned out really nasty. So, Mrs. Hutzell walks in, eats the WHOLE BAG in like two minutes, and takes the one we hadn't popped yet. Can you say P-I-G? Anyway, we went and asked Mrs. Bridner for food and she gave is GIRHADELLI CHOCOLATE! Dayum! That was awesome. It was a very, very nice have-fun-in-high-school present! We went outside after that and went home!

It was really sad, though. Seeing the Skybox and the studio all packed up was really depressing, and I could tell that everybody was really.....depressed (for lack of a better word).

I'm gonna miss Mayfield a LOT! Of course, I'm happy and glad to be a high schooler, but still. I spent three AWESOME years in Mayfield, and I'm never going to forget it. I just have to focus on the future!

Goodbye, Mayfield, and thank you for three wonderful years!

Graduation: Yet Another Bittersweet Parting

Wow.

So, I'm offically a freshie. Cara is an upperclasswoman! This is crazy. Here's what I said last year:

I've offically decided that this school year was bittersweet. There's no changing that. But this school year ending was a loss for me.

Since everybody likes good things, I'll start off with my list of good things that happened to me this year:
  • Being promoted to MWTV Executive Producer! (By far one of the very very best!)
  • Managing to pull through with an "A" average in most of my classes (I usually dont have problems with this, but this year was academically challenging)
  • Making a lot of new friends and retaining friendships with old ones
  • Having great teachers
  • Making people happy (Somehow I managed to do this a lot)
And, of course, my bad list:
  • Chelsea moving!
  • Courtney. Everything about her. Bad bad bad bad bad BAD
  • Having to sit on like the side of the room in math and squit at the overhead everyday during the drill (I seriously think that it deteriorated my eyesight)
  • Mrs. Ladson again (Sometimes, though, this may have been a good thing...)
  • Slacking in Spanish and Science in the first and second quarters.....I feel really bad about ever doing that.
So, as you can see, the end of this year was more bad than good for me......After realizing this, I felt that I needed a sanctuary in which to gather my thoughts and regain my strength before I started crying, so I went and napped for two hours. Needless to say, I felt much better while I was well-rested. I had a new outlook on this summer. It's not going to be like last year; mostly sucky. I'm not going to hear songs that are popular now in December and become nostalgic of my wasted, yet sometimes good, summer 2oo5.

I'm going to make the best out of this summer, and nobody's gonna stop me!
Wow....I'm still stunned. It hasn't really hit me yet that I'm out of Mayfield and I'm in Long Reach. It's just....amazing.

Tomorrow I'll post in-depth about today's events and how I feel. I still haven't cried yet; the graduation cannot be truly experienced without sobbing. Everybody knows that!

Wow. Can You Say Breaking Strain?

Well, I managed to keep my cool for 181 days of school, and I don't plan on cracking for the last 9.

My reading project is DONE! It sucks, but it's done. I turned it in to Miss Larouere on Friday morning, and it's like 2.95 pages. Does that count as three? Hopefully! It's close enough. I'm hoping that this thing will pull me through to an "A" in her class, and then I can have straight "A"'s this semester. That would be awesome. But it just...sucked. I'm seriously going to bomb it, I think. But....there's always a chance, isn't there? Well, now that that hellish project is over, we've started Killer Angels. Holy crap it SUCKS!!! I seriously plan on using Cliffs Notes for this whole book, because I'm going to be so crammed at the end of this year. It's....scary.

Romeo and Juliet is still....bad. I hate it. I am sorry Caroline, but I hate it. And wtf is up with Mrs. Hutzell's "Ye Old Acting Company"? I wanted to slit my wrists when she said that. It was so PAINFUL to hear it.....it is a disgrace to the performing arts (Yes, I feel very strongly on this topic!). I can't wait to get out of that woman's class!

I actually managed to pull off Expo! The presentation went very, very well! I'm mad at Kendrick for mucking up the first part of it, but other than that it went super good! Snaps for us!

And, finally, my mom took me to Old Navy and Kohls to get my new summer clothes. I finally got more cargo shorts and t-shirts so I can actually have a "rotation". AND, I got my shirt for the dance on Friday. It's pretty.....fugsly. But I'm only wearing it once, so it's all good!

New Theory

The Weather Channel is partnered with the Hanso Foundation, and TWC has put a project on the island as well: the Dopplar initiative.

I always knew those people were up to no good.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE HANSO FOUNDATION!!!

Thank you, and namaste.
